Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek and Turkish companies are actively enhancing collaboration in the leather and footwear sector. Negotiations held during the AYSAF-2024 exhibition may lead to significant investments from Türkiye.
A particular focus is on developing women’s footwear production. The shortage of high-quality women’s shoes in Uzbekistan makes collaboration with Ustasan, a Turkish company specializing in women’s footwear and soles, especially timely.
Additionally, discussions were held with SVS-Textile on importing and exporting eco-leather and nonwoven materials. The Turkish side proposed an outsourcing model, enabling the use of local manufacturing facilities.
San+One is in talks with Aktas for a partnership in footwear sole production. Representatives from Aktas plan to visit the UzcharmExpo-Eurasia-2025 exhibition to assess business opportunities in Uzbekistan.
These initiatives are expected to provide a strong boost to Uzbekistan’s leather and footwear industry, increase production volumes, and strengthen the country’s export potential.
