Turkey is in top five countries in the world for new cases of COVID-19

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - According to the World Health Organization, the number of people infected with coronavirus infection in the world is more than 151 million 803 thousand, of which more than 3 million 186 thousand people have died (as of 15:09 CET on 2 May 2021).

Over the past day, 808,563 new cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in the world, 12,870 patients have died.

According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University (as of 14:21 Tashkent time on 3 May 2021), more than 152 million 900 thousand people have been infected in the world, of which more than 3 million 203 thousand have died.

The leader in the number of confirmed cases remains the United States, where, according to WHO, more than 32.002 million infected have been identified. India is the second (more than 19.557 million), Brazil – third (more than 14.659 million), France – fourth (5.553 million) and Turkey – fifth (4.849 million).

According to the WHO, over the past day, 53,567 were registered in the United States, 392,488 in India, 68,333 in Brazil, 23,986 in France and 28,817 in Turkey.

More than 1 billion 011 million doses of coronavirus vaccines have been introduced in the world.
