Economy 30/11/2010 Turboatom to supply equipments to Charvak hydro power station

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Turboatom open joint stock company (Ukraine) won a tender on supply of equipments to Charvak hydro power station, conducted by Uzbekenergo state joint stock company in November 2010.

Technical–commercial proposal of the Ukrainian enterprises was announced as the best and the customer accepted it.

Turboatom will prepare and supply turbine shut-off valves with diameter of 5 m to replace earlier supplied ones.

The Ukrainian company said that the sides are planning to ink contract in December 2010. The company will supply products within 12 months.

Turboatom said there is possibility that it can supply more power equipment for the Uzbek hydro power stations. The enterprise is participating in tender on reconstruction of Cascade Nijne-Bozsu hydro power station.

Charvak hydro power station is main and the most powerful hydro power station in the structure of Chirchik-Bozsu cascady hydro power stations – a complex of hydro power stations at Chirchiq river in Uzbekistan.

The capacity of station is 600 megawatt and annually it produces 2 billion kilowatt-hour electricity. The station has four radial-flow hydraulic units with capacity of 150 megawatt each with turbine shut-off valves with diameter of 5 m, which work at calculated pressure of 148 m.
