Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the international industrial exhibition "INNOPROM. Central Asia 2024," a meeting took place between the Deputy Trade Representative of Russia in Uzbekistan, Igor Kamynin, with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Tula Region, Vyacheslav Romanov, and the General Director of the Regional Development and Support Corporation of the Tula Region, Pavel Tatarenko, the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Uzbekistan said.

The participants discussed the current work of the region on building relations with Uzbek partners and the prospects for their further development.

The key sectors of the economy of Tula Region are heavy engineering, chemical, and metallurgical industries. In turn, the region is interested in purchasing light industry products.

To strengthen cooperation with Uzbekistan, the region is considering the possibility of opening a regional showroom.

Tula Region is also expanding its interregional ties - an agreement on cooperation was signed with Namangan Region of the republic during the exhibition.
