Tsukuba University plans to open a branch in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 28 October, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan between Minister Laziz Kudratov and Kyosuke Nagata, President of Tsukuba University (Japan).

The meeting focused on the prospects for developing cooperation in the field of education, specifically the establishment of a higher educational institution in Uzbekistan based on Japanese educational programs with the support of Tsukuba University.

This initiative will enable a significant number of Uzbek youth to receive quality education that meets Japanese standards without the need to study abroad.

During the meeting, the parties discussed practical aspects of organizing the university’s operations, including the development of joint curricula, the use of new technologies in training for in-demand fields, and the gradual expansion of the university.

At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to implement the joint initiative.

The establishment of a higher educational institution based on Japanese educational programs will be an important step in enhancing Uzbekistan’s education system, contributing to improved education quality and expanded access to modern knowledge.

This move will also strengthen bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Japan, opening new opportunities for cooperation in education and science.
