Transinsurance Uzbek-Swiss Reinsurance Company has summed up the first half-year results. The analysis of the company’s performance revealed that in January-June 2007, the company continued to develop stably and dynamically. Thus, the premium revenue from reinsurance operations for the reporting period comprised 835 million soums, Uzreport.com reported.
The premiums received for reinsurance of property risks totaled 633 million soums, and premiums for reinsurance of contracts on liability insurance aggregated to about 30 million soums. Reinsurance of personal insurance contracts brought the company 172 million soums.
At the same time, in the reporting period, the company payout out insurance coverage totaling 3.3 million soums (property insurance - 2.4 million soums, personal insurance - 850,000 soums).
About 23.1% of premiums were received from the Transinsurance’s reinsurance operations with Uzbek insurance companies. This figure has grown 5.4 times since the beginning of the year.
Founded in 2006, the first and the only reinsurance company in Central Asia, Transinsurance conducts reinsurance operations only. Its aim is to establish close cooperation with all insurance companies of the country, provide them reliable reinsurance protection, raise the capacity of the Uzbek insurance market and reduce the unjustified outflow of foreign currency from the country along the reinsurance channels.
