Transfers to Uzbekistan from Europe to UZCARD and Humo cards can now be sent without commission

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbeks living and working in Europe have a new opportunity to send money transfers to their homeland without paying a commission. An additional convenience is that money is immediately credited to the cards of the national payment systems Uzcard and Humo. The service is provided in the KoronaPay mobile application.

Transfers from the European Union to Uzbekistan are a demanded service, since the Uzbek diaspora in European countries numbers tens of thousands of people and hundreds of thousands leave every year under labor contracts. According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, in 2020 the republic received more than US$105 million in private transfers from European countries. Among the countries with the largest transaction volumes are Sweden, Great Britain, Germany and the Czech Republic.

Now immigrants from Uzbekistan, living or temporarily working in Europe, will be able not only to send money transfers to their loved ones directly to their Uzcard and Humo cards, but also save money.

To send a money transfer from Europe to national cards of Uzbekistan without a commission, you need to install the KoronaPay Money Transfers mobile application on your smartphone with a European SIM card. The application supports an interface in Uzbek, and the process of sending a translation is simple and intuitive. You just need to know the details of the recipient’s bank card and enter the card details from which the money will be debited for the transfer. The transfer can be made from Visa, Mastercard, Maestro cards of any European bank. KoronaPay transfers to Uzcard and Humo cards are credited in soums at a favorable exchange rate.

“Last year we launched a service for sending money transfers to Uzbekistan from all EU countries, as well as from Great Britain, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein with the possibility of receiving cash in the offices of partner banks of the Zolotaya Korona system,” says Gleb Kozlov, head of KoronaPay in Europe. - We see a steady growth in interest in the service. Over the year, the number of senders to Uzbekistan who use our service has tripled, and the volume of funds sent - almost 3.5 times. There is no doubt that direct transfers without commission to cards of national payment systems of Uzbekistan will create an optimal client scenario for our users.”
