It has been organized within the joint project "ACCESS: promoting Accessibility, Civic Consciousness, Employment, and Social Support for people with disabilities" of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the UNDP Uzbekistan.
Social enterprises are identified as private, separate entrepreneurship providing goods and services with concrete aim to benefit to community. Income is not the main goal for these enterprises. Social enterprises are created and controlled on the initiatives of citizens. Nevertheless making decisions about the future activities of the enterprise is not based on who owns the majority of the capital.
The main objective of the course is to improve knowledge and skills of leaders of NGOs and social organizations of PWDs in project pilot regions (Tashkent, Samarkand and Shahrisabz cities) on development and implementation of business-projects.
The course is focused on obtaining skills for conducting easy-way marketing researches for necessary marketing information, and conducting expenditure calculation and financial reporting; receiving necessary knowledge for research and receiving needed investment for establishing and further development of the business.
The project ACCESS in planning to announce the contest for the best Business project on employment of people with disabilities among NGOs and social organizations of PWDs. The contest winners will receive equipment and/or technologies for starting or extending their business as well as professional education upon request from the ACCESS Project. Consultants of the project will render consultative assistance for sustainability during one year.
