Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 9 January, an incident occurred in the Tashkent Metro involving a train that began emitting smoke.
According to a statement from the press service of the Tashkent Metro, the incident took place at 11:51 on train No. 29, which was approaching the "Mirzo-Ulugbek" station. The train operator noticed a technical malfunction during the journey.
For passenger safety, they were evacuated to the platform, and the train was sent to a technical inspection zone for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
The incident did not affect the train schedule, and all trains continue to operate according to the regular timetable.
