Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 September 2024, at 1:45 PM, a tragic incident occurred on Fayzli Street in the Sergeli district of Tashkent.

A driver, M.A., born in 1983, was operating a BYD vehicle with registration number 01 444 VFA when he struck a pedestrian.

As a result of the collision, the minor L.S. succumbed to her injuries during transport to the hospital.

An investigation has been initiated into the incident under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which addresses violations of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation.

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and the driver’s liability.
