Traditional national costumes presented in Uzbek capital
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Velvet, silk, delicate embroidery, original accessories, jewelry and a variety of bright colors were used in wedding dresses in Uzbekistan in the 19th century.

Wedding clothes of Karakalpakstan, Bukhara, Samarkand and other regions of Uzbekistan is presented at the exhibition at the Youth Creative Palace in Tashkent on 15 February 2013.

The exhibition presented ancient costumes and new ones, which were produced by Uzbek designers based on sketches of the 19th century.

Fund Forum, MEROS Association of Antiques of Uzbekistan and Youth Creative Palace organized the event. The exhibition will last till 1 March 2013.

The exhibition is directed at rehabilitating traditional clothes of the Uzbek regions. The exhibition presented traditional clothes of brides and bridegrooms.

The event also presented sketches of costumes, toys, head-dresses, jewelry. It also presented national costumes of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
