Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law amending and supplementing various legislative acts related to the activities of trade unions.

Under the amendments to the Tax Code, divisions of trade unions and primary trade union organizations without legal entity status will be assigned a taxpayer identification number (TIN).

Additionally, amendments to the Law on Trade Unions now allow such divisions and organizations to be registered with the justice authorities. The procedure for registration will be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The law will come into effect from the date of its official publication.
