The delegation comprises representatives of Ural region’s seven big companies dealing with machine-building, energy, woodworking, production of modern equipment for educational institutions and road-building.
The Uzbek-Russian business forum organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent on 19 February as a part of the visit.
As a result of 2008, the trade turnover between the Ural region of the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan totalled US$245 million, Yuri Matushkin, president of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry said.
Fruit and vegetable production, machine-building products, car transport, thread, rubber, shoes and other goods from Uzbekistan are in demand on the Ural market.
Members of the Ural delegation also visited some industrial facilities and Uzbek companies as a part of the visit to Uzbekistan.
