Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Since the beginning of 2024, the Trade Development Company has provided financial assistance to exporters amounting to 311.4 billion soums, according to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of support decreased by 98 billion soums, a 24% drop. In 2024, the assistance was provided to 798 exporting enterprises, while in the previous year, 1,340 companies received such support.

Additionally, the Trade Development Company allocated US$241.2 million to commercial banks for pre-export financing for 248 companies, an 8% decrease from the previous year, when the amount was US$262.3 million and loans were provided to 304 companies.

Despite the decrease in the volume of support, there is an increase in the efficiency of utilizing funds allocated for export support. The companies that received funding exported goods and services worth US$1.95 billion, a 17.5% increase compared to 2023.

In 2023, each dollar provided by the company resulted in US$5.6 in export revenue, while in 2024, this figure rose to US$7.4, marking a 32% growth.

The Trade Development Company was established in accordance with a presidential decree in March 2024. One of its key tasks is to enhance the efficiency of financial assistance to exporters, including through subsidies for companies entering new markets and producing high value-added products.

Another important task is to promote national products and brands under the "Made in Uzbekistan" program.
