Akif Mustafayev, Azerbaijan’s national coordinator in TRACECA, said that the session will take place in Issyk Kul (resort zone of Kyrgyzstan) on 15-16 June.
“A range of issues, including the one concerning reforms in the TRACECA institutes, is being prepared for consideration at the session.
But the Organisation’s member states are inclined to cover this matter in the context and after election of new secretary general of TRACECA,” Mustafayev said.
The TRACECA Multilateral Agreement was signed in Baku in 1998 and composes Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Armenia. Since then cargo flow via TRACECA route has doubled and its further growth is expected in connection with Trans-Caspian supplies of Kazakh oil.
