Tourist Zone “Shirmonbulak” Launched in Bulokbosh District
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The creation of a new tourist zone, “Shirmonbulak,” has begun in the Bulokbosh District of Andijan Region.
The project is being implemented in accordance with directives from the President given during his working visit to the region. Its primary goal is to unlock the district’s tourism potential and establish a modern recreational area for residents and visitors.
Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov, Governor of Andijan Region, visited the site of the future complex to review work plans and meet with local residents, entrepreneurs, and heads of relevant agencies. During the meeting, entrepreneurs presented their initiatives and expressed their readiness to actively participate in the development of the tourist zone.
The Shirmonbulak complex will cover an area of 107 hectares. Plans include the construction and modernization of transport infrastructure, installation of 6,500 meters of power lines with two transformer substations and a new switchgear unit, and improvements to drinking water and sewage systems.
The project also encompasses landscaping and public amenities, including the creation of pedestrian pathways, installation of lighting, benches, and kiosks.
Two pumping stations will be built, along with one kilometer of pressurized pipelines, and drip irrigation will be arranged along the roads.
Upon completion, Shirmonbulak is expected to become a modern center for cultural and family recreation as well as a new tourist attraction, contributing to the economic development of not only Andijan Region but the country as a whole.
