Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 August 2025, the ceremonial opening of the tourist village “Ushot” took place in the Jandar district of Bukhara Region.

The event was attended by representatives of the Tourism Committee, the Bukhara regional hokimiyat, the regional tourism department, district leadership, tourism business representatives, local residents, and the wider public.

Speakers highlighted ongoing tourism reforms in the region, emphasizing the economic and cultural significance of creating tourist villages, their role in expanding services in remote areas, and their contribution to employment opportunities for youth and women.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Tourism Committee presented a special certificate officially granting Ushot the status of a “Tourist Village.”

As part of the program, industry representatives took part in an informational tour of the new tourist infrastructure, visiting guest houses, craft workshops, the “House of Uzbek Bread Culture,” and other facilities showcasing the village’s tourism potential.
