Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In St. Petersburg, the "road show" program continues as part of the "Year of Tourism in Uzbekistan," taking place in various cities across Russia.

The event was attended by a delegation led by Jamshid Abdusalomov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Tourism, along with representatives from Uzbekistan’s and Russia’s tourism sectors, including over 70 travel companies.

During the event, a presentation highlighted the tourism potential of Uzbekistan. Uzbek tour operators, hotels, and other industry participants shared information about their tourism products, travel routes, and the newly launched flight connections between cities in Russia and Uzbekistan.

To familiarize participants with Uzbekistan’s rich culture and national cuisine, traditional melodies, songs, and dances were showcased, along with tastings of Uzbek national dishes.

Discussions with Russian officials during the "road show" emphasized bilateral cooperation in the development of cultural and historical tourism between the two countries. Topics included the development of cultural events, excursion routes, advertising and PR campaigns, and the growth of the hospitality and transport sectors.

The event was attended by Abdurakhmon Mahmudov, the Consul General of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg, and Evgeny Pankevich, the Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Tourism in St. Petersburg.
