Representatives of US Congress, State Department, tourism agencies and hotels, culture, public and research establishments of Washington, mass media participated at the event.

The report said participants hailed ancient culture, unique traditions and sights of Uzbekistan, which serves as firm ground for development of tourism industry in the country.

Participants underlined huge cultural-historic heritage of Uzbek people and potential of Uzbekistan. Large number of sights is important factor for developing tourism in Uzbekistan.

They added that huge tourism potential of Uzbekistan was not fully discovered and Uzbekistan has all opportunities to become leader in global tourism market.
