At the event, ancient and rich historic-cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, architectural monuments were presented at the event. The presentation presented information on Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Shakhrisabz, Jahon news agency said.
It was underlined that Uzbekistan carried out several measures to develop tour industry and its infrastructure. In 2014, over US$580 million of investments were directed to develop tourism in the country.
Director-general of Federturismo Antonio Barreca said that Uzbekistan has great history and tourism potential. He said that such ancient cities as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva are pearls of Great Silk Roads and attract millions of tourists each year.
