Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 April 2019, the Tashkent city administration held a presentation of the Tashkent brand.
The purpose of the presentation of the brand of the city is to present the leading role of the brand in the life of the capital in the modern world, to demonstrate the methods of using the brand, as well as to create a positive image of the city with the help of the brand.
Opening the presentation of the capital’s brand, the Chairman of the Public Council Hikmat Abdurakhmanov emphasized that the tourist brand reflects not only its appearance, but also its economic potential, unique competitiveness in the regions of Uzbekistan, as well as the rapid development of scientific and innovative projects.
Sanjar Tadjiev, head of the Tashkent city tourism development department, stressed the importance of the capital’s brand not only for the metropolis, but also for the tourist centers of the city, as well as for the development of tourism in Tashkent and the role of the brand in attracting foreign investment.
Elina Ibragimova, the founder of the company MA’NO Branding, which developed the brand of the capital, and the designer Timur Sadi described in detail the symbols of the brand.
Competition for the development of the brand of the city of Tashkent was held until 31 October 2019. During this period, members of the commission of 10 people reviewed more than 310 works by 118 artists and designers. In November, six selected works were presented to the Tashkent City Council of Deputies and the decision of the Council of Deputies dated January 12, 2019 approved the brand logo, presented by MA’NO branding. When choosing a tourist brand of the city of Tashkent, the main attention was paid to the creative approach, originality and use of national elements, history, present and future of the city, as well as symbols reflecting national and universal values.
The brand of the tourist brand of Tashkent depicts the open golden gates of the capital and the clear, peaceful sky of Tashkent in the shape of the letter “T”. These images are symbols of prosperity and peace in Tashkent.
The brand of the city of Tashkent can be used to produce souvenirs and gifts for tourists and guests of the capital.
