Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Japanese citizens traditionally have a great interest in history, culture, original customs and traditions of foreign countries and peoples, and therefore they often travel. In order to widely popularize the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, familiarize the Japanese with the ancient history and rich culture of the Uzbek people, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Japan, together with the State Tourism Development Committee, organized a trip for representatives of the Globe-Trotter Travel Guidebook to Uzbekistan.

The result of this trip was the release of the Japanese edition of a special guidebook about Uzbekistan in Japanese.

The guide in the amount of 127 pages was published in the amount of 30 thousand copies and will be distributed in all large and medium cities of Japan. Based on the sale, in the future the company intends to issue an additional 30 thousand copies.

The informative and colorfully designed guide offers the Japanese reader detailed information about the cities of Uzbekistan, attractive places to visit in them, hotels, restaurants, shopping centers and other data useful for tourists visiting the republic.

The electronic version of this book will be launched on the website of the publication in May 2019.

Separate sections of the guide are devoted to Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Tashkent, in which, along with many high-quality photographs, the inquisitive Japanese reader is provided with maps of cities, information on the most famous historical landmarks, museums, available means of transport, hotels, bazaars, shopping centers and souvenir shops.

Attention is also attracted to individual sections with very extensive and comprehensive information about the kitchen and objects of applied art of the Uzbek people.

Considering the curiosity and exactingness of the Japanese tourist, the guide also presents data on banknotes used in our republic and other means of payment, recommendations on visiting periods, flight times and services of the national airline, trains running between cities and other data are given.

In general, the guide, prepared by the Globe-Trotter Travel Guidebook with the assistance of our Embassy and the State Committee for Tourism, will answer all the questions of the Japanese, who are planning to visit Uzbekistan in the near future.

The editor of the Japanese edition of Shimpoy Ito, who visited Uzbekistan, said that he was deeply impressed by the republic, the unique historical sights, hospitality and good nature of the Uzbek people, the transformations being carried out in the country and the amenities created for foreign tourists today.
