During 20 years, the TITF-2014 became the largest tourism event in Central Asia. It is organized by Uzbektourism, Advertisement Agency Great Silk Road at the support of the UN WTO, Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan, Council of Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, Association Hunarmand, etc.
Total area of the fair this year makes up 10,000 square meters. The fair presents stands of all regions of Uzbekistan, leading local and foreign tourism agencies, hotels and recreation zones.
According to the organizers, over 300 companies, representing 50 directions of tourism, are participating in the fair. Number of the visitors is expected at 120,000 people. Among them will be also foreign visitors.
During three days, the TITF-2014 will present all spectrum of tourism in Uzbekistan, its development and new directions. The fair will also include several roundtables and presentations. It is also planned to hold entertainment programmes, promo-campaigns, contests, etc.
The folk and dance bands of Uzbekistan will present their songs and dances to the guests. The visitors will also have chance to taste national cuisine and familiarize with works of craftsmen.
Within the TITF-2014, the first international wine festival and exhibition “Sunny grape” will be held for the first time.
The wine festival will present potential of local wine industry, which should speed up development of the industry and wine tourism industry in Uzbekistan.
The exhibition also presents a mega painting “Thousand angels and one painting” of Lekim Ibragimov. The height of the painting is 8 meters, length – 66 meters and area – 528 square meters. The painting consists of 1,000 separate painting, each of which has one images of angel.
Lekim Ibragimov spent three years to make the painting. The painting was shown in several European countries.
Turkey is a partner-country of the TITF-2014. The country participates with national stand, which presents tourism potential of Turkey. Singapore, Dominican Republic and Russia are participating in the fair for the first time this year.
The exhibition presents tourism potential of regions of Uzbekistan, including those unknown for foreign tourists.
About 195 regional hotels and 102 tourism companies, large number of museums and educational centers will also present their services at the fair.
New specialized project “Hosted Buyer” has been launched within the 20th anniversary Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road (TITF-2014).
Hosted Buyer Programme is a complex of work of the organizers with business visitors, create them favourable conditions to their participation in the event. The programme is aimed at helping business visitors to receive maximum number of business contacts in short period of time.
The participants of the programme will familiarize with tourism potential of the regions of Uzbekistan, taste food, bread, fruits and sweets, as well as visit Samarkand this year. The organizers hope that the participants of the Hosted Buyer programme will sign agreements with local tourism companies.
