TITF-2014 fair ends its work in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” (TITF-2014) wrapped up its work in the capital of Uzbekistan. The fair was organized at the official support of the UN World Tourism Organization.

During three days, the fair presented all spectrum of tourism in Uzbekistan, its development and new directions. The event included several roundtables and presentation, promo-campaigns, contests, etc.

At the fair, the visitors were able to enjoy national cuisine and performances of folk bands, familiarize with works of craftsmen.

Turkey was the partner country of the TITF-2014. National stand of Turkey presented tourism potential of the country. Singapore, Dominican Republic and Russia were debutants of the fair this year.

Committee for development of tourism in Saint Petersburg participated in the TITF and presented new opportunities for recreation.

The forum included conferences dedicated to train tourism services and social partnership in tourism sector.

New specialized project “Hosted Buyer” has been launched within the 20th anniversary Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road (TITF-2014).

Hosted Buyer Programme is a complex of work of the organizers with business visitors, create them favourable conditions to their participation in the event. The programme is aimed at helping business visitors to receive maximum number of business contacts in short period of time.

The participants of the programme will familiarize with tourism potential of the regions of Uzbekistan, taste food, bread, fruits and sweets, as well as visit Samarkand this year. The organizers hope that the participants of the Hosted Buyer programme will sign agreements with local tourism companies.

The TITF-2014 included an international wine festival and grape exposition “Sunny grape”, which was organized to develop wine tourism in Uzbekistan.

The festival helped the guests to familiarize with products of Uzbek wine producers, exchange experience with foreign wine producers, participate in master classes and roundtables.

Experts from France, Italy, Bulgaria and Hungary and local wine producers conducted master classes within the festival.

At the end of the event, the organizers handed over diplomas on 16 nominations:

The best creative stand - The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey;
The best stylistic unity - Hotel Chain “Asia Hotel”;
The best service - Hotel Dedeman Silk Road Tashkent; Long-term and fruitful cooperation - Tourism company End Tour;
Active and long-term information partnership – TV programme “All about tourism” Elmira Tukhvatullina
The Best Manager of the Year - manager of the hotel Grand Mir - Ihsan Kurt
