State enterprise “Scientific-research institute of mineral resources” will participate at the 19th Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road" (TITF 2013). The enterprise specializes in development of geotourism.

The enterprise carries out scientific-research, thematic and regional works. It develops recommendations on improving effective use of geologic resources and assessment of mineral-raw potential of Uzbekistan, etc.

Geotourism is one of new fast developing directions of tourism industry. The main goal of the geotourism is enlightenment. It provides information to people on evaluation of the Earth.

The main objects of geotourism are geoparks, which is one of type of natural parks and geologic monument of nature.

Uzbekistan has several objects for development of geotourism, including Beshtyube, Ayaz-Kala, Kokcha, Ustyurt Platue, etc. All of them have unique peculiarities, which will help to develop geotourism.
