Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Latvia has been appointed.

Timur Rakhmanov began his work as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Latvia.

According to the Dunyo agency, Rakhmanov arrived in the capital of Latvia.

In 2021-2024, he worked as Consul General in the city of Novosibirsk. His consular district included the Siberian Federal District of Russia.

As Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Latvia, Timur Rakhmanov replaced Kadambay Sultanov, who worked as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Latvia (2019–2024) and part-time in Lithuania (2021–2024), Finland (2020–2024) and Estonia (2020–2024) with residence in city of Riga
