Tilal made it tough admits Nasaf coach
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Nasaf boss Anatoli Demianenko was full of praise for opponents Al Tilal after seeing his side narrowly overcome their Yemeni opponents 3-2 thanks to Artur Gevkoryan's late goal at Al Tilal Stadium.

Having brushed aside Lebanese side Al Ansar at home two weeks ago, Nasaf were looking to carry that form into the clash with an Al Tilal side that had gone down 2-1 to Dempo in Goa last time out.

The Uzbeks went in front after just 13 minutes when Lutfulla Turaev found the back of the net but Al Tilal fought back to take the lead in the second half of an absorbing contest.

First, Lami Geleta drew the home side level in the 50th minute and 12 minutes later, Ruffin Motshumba gave them the lead for the first time and the real hope of collecting their first three points of their 2011 AFC Cup campaign.

It was not to be, however, as three minutes later, Maksud Karimov got Nasaf back on terms when he beat keeper Amir Haidarah before Gevkoryan's late intervention handed the Uzbek's all three points and maintained their perfect record in this season's competition and see them top Group A.

“Al Tilal are a very strong team,” said Demianenko.

“They have a good style and our players are very tired because of this game.”

Nevertheless, two wins from their opening two fixtures has left Demianenko already dreaming of the last 16.

“We will do more than this in the future and we are looking to finish as the first team in this group,” he added.

Al Tilal boss Kebede Seyoum, meanwhile, was left to rue individual errors from his side that he felt ultimately led to their downfall.

“We lost the match because of some mistakes by the players,” he admitted.
