Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent State Economic University, Tashkent Financial Institute and Fiscal Institute under the Tax Committee are merging into one higher education institution.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a corresponding resolution on 8 February 2024.

Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Rector of the Tashkent Financial Institute Tulkin Teshabayev was appointed rector of the united Tashkent State Economic University.

This decision was made as part of an initiative to consolidate higher education in the country.
