Three Asian trios to officiate in U-20 World Cup
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Three Asian referee trios have been selected for duty at the FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013 which be happening from June 21 to July 13.

Alireza Faghani (IRN), Nawaf Shukralla (BHR) and Benjamin Williams (AUS) are the referees who will work in the world U-20 showpiece.

They will be helped by Assistant Referees Yaser Tulefat (BHR), Hakan Anaz (AUS), Matthew Cream (AUS), Hassan Kamranifar (IRN), Ebrahim Saleh (BHR) and Reza Sokhandan (IRN).

Korea Republic, Australia, Iraq and Uzbekistan will be flying the Asian flag at the competition which attracts the future stars of world football.

Iraq, who were beaten by Korea Republic in the final of the AFC U-19 Championship in 2012, will face England, Chile and Egypt in Group E which will take place in Antalya and Bursa. Korean Republic face Cuba, Nigeria and Portugal in Group B to be played in Istanbul and Kayseri.

Australia are pitted along with hosts Turkey, Colombia and El Salvador in Group C whose matches will be held in Trabzon, Rize and Gaziantep, while Uzbekistan are in Group F featuring Uruguay, Croatia and New Zealand who will play their matches also in Bursa and Antalya.

The Koreans will commence their campaign against Cuba on the competition’s opening day on June 21 while Australia face Colombia the next day. Iraq will open against England while the Uzbeks entertain New Zealand on June 23.
