Three Architectural Concepts Unveiled for the Future “Saint Petersburg” Quarter in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov, together with members of the city’s official delegation, visited Uzbekistan to review the progress of construction of the “Saint Petersburg” quarter in New Tashkent, the Smolny press service reported today.

To implement the project, the Saint Petersburg government formed a working group that developed three architectural concepts for the quarter. The first concept was “Parade Petersburg”, the second – “Petersburg Streets”. These options were presented in June.

During discussions, Tashkent Hokim Shavkat Urazakov suggested combining the ideas into a single concept, which led to the creation of a third option called “Petersburg Quarters.”

Construction of the “Saint Petersburg” quarter is scheduled to begin in the middle of next year.
