Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the 1st half of 2023, Thermal Power Plants JSC generated 26.6 billion kWh of electricity and 4.5 million/gcal of thermal energy and transferred it to the unified energy system. As part of the investment program for 8 projects in January-June 2023, funds for US$58.6 million were disbursed from all sources, while the established plan was fulfilled by 101.2 percent.

As part of investment projects, two gas turbine units are currently being built at the Tashkent Thermal plant with a capacity of 32 MW each and two combined-cycle plants at the Talimarjan TPP with a capacity of at least 900 MW each. At the Navoi TPP, design work is underway to build the third combined cycle plant with a capacity of 650 MW.

One of the important tasks facing the company is to reduce the cost of production, as a result of the measures implemented for this purpose, the cost of production in January-June 2023 was reduced by 589 billion soums, the plan was fulfilled by 101 percent.

In order to prepare thermal power plants for the autumn-winter period of 2023-2024, a total of repair work is planned at 53 power plants. At the moment, current and major repairs have been completed at 26 main and auxiliary power plants. Due to the full implementation of the planned repair work, an increase in the existing capacity of power plants by 209 MW and the output of boiler plants by 483 tons / hour will be achieved.

In January-June 2023, in the production of products under the localization program for 34 projects for 17.1 billion soums, in fact, this figure amounted to 25.4 billion soums or 148.2 percent, it was planned to purchase products for 46.7 billion soums, actually purchased products worth 80.8 billion soums or 172.9 percent. The reduction in imports amounted to US$5.5 million under the plan, in fact this figure amounted to US$9.2 million - 166.3 percent to the plan.
