Theatre.UZ/2010 starts in Uzbek capital

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- First International Theatre Festival Theatre.UZ/2010 opened at the Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan in Tashkent on 2 October 2010. The Fund Forum and Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan organized the event.

The festival was launched with the joint Uzbek-Israeli play “Enchanted tailor” of Sholem Aleichem with the participation of Israeli theatre ZERO and the Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan.

The festival is attended by theatres of Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Israel and Uzbekistan, the organizers said.

The festival aimed at enriching theatric live of Uzbekistan through displaying achievements of local and foreign theatres.

The festival will last till 11 October 2010.
