The Third International Theatre Festival "Theatre.UZ/2012" held during last week represented various theatrical performances staged by metropolitan and regional theatres of Uzbekistan, theatres of Bulgaria, Russia, Israel, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan as well as master-classes of well-known theatre workers from Great Britain, Germany, Israel, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The ceremony began with a concert of Israel performers, who sang sentimental melodies in different world’s languages. After that, the audience was shown mini-performances of two Tashkent theatres.

Thus, the Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan represented some scenes from its new performance “The Scarlet Sails”. It should be noted that all the actors and stage directors involved in preparation of this performance are young people who just started their career in a theatrical field. The actors’ costumes – bright and original – were true work of art.

The Mukimi Theatre was presented by a dramatic troupe directed by Murod Rajabov. The Theatre actors and singers sang a “Bravo” medley to saxophone music dedicated to all the theatrical actors who was taking part in the Festival.

The concert was followed by a colorful defile from Uzbekistan designers who showed their best work. Models in incredibly beautiful dresses blending harmoniously the national coloration with modern fashion trends were defiling at the podium.

Upon demonstration, Gulnara Karimova, Fund Forum Chairperson congratulated everybody who participated in the Festival and awarded the winners in different nominations.
