Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 March 2024, the volume of gold and foreign exchange reserves of Uzbekistan amounted to US$32.19 billion, according to data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
According to the regulator, Uzbekistan’s gold and foreign exchange reserves decreased by almost US$1.22 billion in February.
The volume of foreign currency assets at the end of February 2023 amounted to US$7.55 billion, which is US$381.5 million less compared to the beginning of February.
The volume of deposits of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan in the central banks of other countries, as well as in the IMF, decreased from US$475.7 million to US$388.7 million.
Uzbekistan’s gold reserves amounted to US$24.09 billion, which is US$829.1 million less than a month earlier.
The physical volume of gold in February decreased by 2.5% - 11.9 million troy ounces.
