Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 April 2024, the volume of gold and foreign exchange reserves of Uzbekistan reached US$34.19 billion, according to data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
According to the regulator, Uzbekistan’s gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by almost US$1.99 billion in March.
The volume of foreign currency assets at the end of March 2024 amounted to US$8.26 billion, which is US$710.7 million more compared to the beginning of March.
The volume of deposits of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan in the central banks of other countries, as well as in the IMF, decreased from US$388.7 million to US$338.8 million.
Uzbekistan’s gold reserves amounted to US$25.37 billion, which is US$1.2 billion more than a month earlier.
The physical volume of gold in March decreased from 11.9 million troy ounces to 11.5 million troy ounces.
