The volume of cargo transportation in Uzbekistan with the participation of the ports of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in 2022 increased to 701,000 tons

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriyev, speaking to reporters, said that Uzbekistan actively uses the ports of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States for its cargo transportation.

“According to statistical information, in relation to 9 months of last year, the volume of cargo transportation in Uzbekistan with the participation of the ports of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan this year has more than doubled, namely from 337 thousand tons to 701 thousand tons.”

“According to the results of the meeting of the ministers of transport of the Turkic states held in Tashkent on 27-28 October, two important documents were agreed upon: the Agreement on International Multimodal Transportation between the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States, put forward by Uzbekistan and the Program of Cooperation in the field of transport, developed by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It is expected that both documents will be signed during the summit of the heads of the UTC member states,” said Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriyev.

According to the Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriyev, at the meeting of the Ministers of Transport of the Turkic states, which was held on 27-28 October in Tashkent, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between UztemiryulContainer and the ports of Kazakhstan Aktau and Kurik.

Also, a full-fledged activity of the project of the system of electronic exchange of permit forms (E-permit) of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey was launched.
