Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Kyrgyz-Uzbek automobile plant plans to assemble the first car at the end of May 2024. This was reported by Economist.kg with reference to the head of the “Altyn Tulpar Unaa Kurulush” project Bakhadyr Bakhautdinov.

According to him, at the first stage the company will produce Chevrolet and Isuzu passenger cars with subsequent localization of production.

This became possible thanks to the agreement on the construction of a joint automobile plant, signed between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on 29 January 2023.

The planned launch dates for the plant have been repeatedly postponed, but the latest current estimated dates point to the second quarter of this year.
