The "Travel Across Uzbekistan!" domestic Tourism Fair takes place in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 March, a large-scale fair dedicated to domestic tourism was held on Taras Shevchenko Gastro-Tourism Street in Tashkent.

The event served as a platform for local tour operators to showcase their services, strengthen business ties, and attract new partners.

The grand opening was accompanied by the traditional sounds of karnay and surnay, creating a festive atmosphere.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore exhibitions of travel companies, national handicrafts, and cultural centers representing Uzbekistan’s diverse ethnic communities.

The fair’s program also featured interactive workshops and presentations, an "Eastern Bazaar"-style marketplace, tastings of Uzbek national cuisine, an exhibition of tourist transport and the tourism police service, as well as vibrant performances by folklore ensembles.

Approximately 100 representatives of the tourism industry participated in the event, including hotels, hostels, tour operators, travel agencies, banks, and insurance companies. As part of the business program, B2B and B2C meetings were held to discuss potential collaborations, the development of new travel routes, and the implementation of innovative tourism projects.

Beyond strengthening professional connections, the fair also showcased the vast potential of Uzbekistan’s domestic tourism industry.
