The tourism potential of Uzbekistan is widely represented in Israel

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26-28 September, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel, in partnership with the Museum of Islamic Art in Jerusalem, the Samarkand Silk Road tourist complex and the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan organized a presentation of the tourism potential of our country under the slogan “Samarkand - tourist gate to New Uzbekistan,” Dunyo news agency reported.

Over the course of three days, the museum was visited by more than 800 guests interested in history, culture and new tourism opportunities in Uzbekistan.

The presentation presented the tourism potential of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shakhrisabz and other cities of the country, as well as the historical and cultural role of Uzbekistan in world processes since the time of the Great Silk Road with the involvement of leading Israeli specialists.

A colorful musical program performed by artists from Samarkand, master classes by an Uzbek chef and a tasting of pilaf, and an introduction to the handicraft textile works of Samarkand masters brightly enriched the presentation of Uzbekistan.

The presentation of Uzbek gastronomy was held by the famous Israeli chef Israel Aharoni.

In 2022, more than 12 thousand Israelis visited Uzbekistan. For Israeli citizens visiting Uzbekistan, a visa-free regime has been established for a period of 1 month.

Since July of this year, Qanot Sharq airline has been operating regular flights on the route Samarkand - Tel Aviv - Samarkand.

As you know, since 1994, Uzbekistan Airways has operated weekly flights 4 times in the summer season and 3 times in the winter in the direction Tashkent - Tel Aviv - Tashkent.
