Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The total amount of cash receipts for January-June 2023 (cash and through terminals) amounted to 295.4 trillion soums, and increased by 30.7 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

In particular, there was an increase in the share of receipts through terminals in the total amount of cash receipts from 32.6 percent in the first half of 2022 to 38.2 percent, respectively, in 2023. The share of revenues through terminals from trade and services increased from 37.5 percent to 40.4 percent compared to last year.

The volume of bank cash turnover in January-June 2023 amounted to 369.7 trillion soums, and increased by 16.9 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

In particular, cash inflows to banks increased by 19.8 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 182.4 trillion soums.

For 6 months of 2023, the issuance of cash from the cash desk of banks (including through ATMs) increased by 14.2 percent compared to the same period in 2022 and amounted to 187.3 trillion soums.

In January-June 2023, credits to bank cards (359.2 trillion soums) increased by 1.6 times compared to the same period in 2022, and during this period funds were cashed from bank cards in the amount of 86.4 trillion soums.

If in the first half of 2022, 28.1 percent of the proceeds to bank cards were cashed out, this indicator, respectively, in the current year amounted to 24.0 percent.

A small part of the demand for cash from cash receipts to banks was provided by the Central Bank through additional issuance of cash into circulation.

In particular, for 6 months of the current year, the Central Bank issued additional cash in the amount of 6.0 trillion soums, and as of 1 July, the share of cash in the total money supply amounted to 24.8 percent.
