The Title "Honored Ecologist" established in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Senate of the Oliy Majlis approved a law establishing the honorary title of "Honored Ecologist of the Republic of Uzbekistan" during its third plenary session. This decision is part of the ongoing reforms in the country aimed at ensuring environmental sustainability and aligning with the modern requirements of sustainable development.
A comprehensive set of measures is being implemented in Uzbekistan to green the country, protect, and expand green spaces, including on the dried bed of the Aral Sea.
Efforts are actively underway to reduce industrial and transport emissions, contributing to environmental stability both within the country and in the region. The successful implementation of the state concept and strategies in the field of ecology is the result of the joint efforts of government and public organizations, as well as the active participation of citizens.
The new honorary title aims to support and encourage individuals who make significant contributions to the development of ecology and environmental protection. The title of "Honored Ecologist of the Republic of Uzbekistan" will be awarded to citizens who have achieved substantial results in the preservation of nature, biodiversity, mitigating the effects of climate change, and the rational use and regeneration of natural resources.
The award will also recognize specialists, eco-activists, and those promoting eco-friendly technologies, expanding green areas, raising environmental awareness among the population, and educating the younger generation in the spirit of respect for nature.
