The third annual Arbitration Week of Uzbekistan UzAW-2023 begins its work in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 September, the third annual Arbitration Week of Uzbekistan UzAW-2023 began its work in Tashkent. The event was organized in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent International Arbitration Center (TIAC) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

This event provides a unique platform for practitioners in the field of international arbitration and the legal community to share their invaluable knowledge and experience in the field of international commercial arbitration in the CIS region and beyond.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Davron Vakhabov, Director of the USAID Representative Office in Uzbekistan David Hoffman, British Minister of Justice Mike Freer, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Polvonov and Director of the Tashkent International Arbitration Center Diana Bayzakova.

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Davron Vakhabov made a speech and noted that this event would be an important step in protecting the rights of entrepreneurs and foreign investors in Uzbekistan, further developing international arbitration and strengthening mutual cooperation.

During the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During this week, discussions on a number of topical issues of international arbitration will be held in various formats, in particular, symposiums, working meetings and round tables.

The arbitration week of Uzbekistan UzAW-2023 will last until September 15, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reports.
