The terrorist attack in St. Petersburg and the current situation in the world: the reasons for the transfer of the festival ZHARA are named

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Yesterday, on 3 April, insider information spread in the media that the ZHARA festival, like many other events, was planned to be canceled amid the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg. On 2 April, on Universitetskaya embankment, where the creative evening of blogger Vladlen Tatarsky was held, there was an explosion, which killed dozens of people.

Shortly after these publications, the founder of the festival, Emin Agalarov, made an official statement on his Instagram page: “The ZHARA festival in Tashkent, scheduled for 20-21 May, is postponed. Unfortunately, the current situation in the world is not conducive to large-scale musical events. We thank all the fans of this project who love and wait for our artists.”

It is especially emphasized that tickets purchased earlier can be returned to the ticket office of the ticket operator.

Commenting on the event, the head of the marketing department at ZHARA Events, Zhanara Baiseitova, noted: “Our team has been working for several months to please the residents and guests of our capital with a bright event. Of course, we are sorry that the festival is being postponed, but we are sympathetic to the fact that such a decision was made against the backdrop of current events. I have no doubt that ZHARA will come to Uzbekistan in the near future.”

ZHARA is an annual international music festival founded in 2016 by Azerbaijani singer, musician and entrepreneur Emin Agalarov. For the first time it was held from 9 to 10 July 2016 in Baku at the Sea Breeze Resort on the shores of the Caspian Sea. In subsequent years, the event was held in Germany, Kazakhstan, Monaco, UAE, Russia and Turkey.
