The strategy “Uzbekistan – 2030” was adopted

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By Presidential Decree, the “Uzbekistan–2030” strategy was approved and a Resolution on measures for the high-quality and timely implementation of this Strategy was adopted.

According to the Decree, the Uzbekistan 2030 strategy consists of 100 goals and the following 5 priority areas:

- creating decent conditions for realizing the potential of every person;

- ensuring the well-being of the population through sustainable economic growth;

- saving water resources and protecting the environment;

- ensuring the rule of law, organizing public administration focused on serving the people;

- consistent continuation of a policy based on the principle of a “safe and peace-loving state.”

According to the Resolution, from 1 January 2024:

- the provision of milk fortified with protein, vitamins and minerals, as well as bread products saturated with iodine, will be introduced to pupils of state preschool educational organizations;

- as an experiment, all primary school students in Koshkupyr and Khankin districts of the Khorezm region will be provided with educational tablets; subsequently, this experience will be gradually introduced to all regions of the republic;

- the practice of providing compensation to cover part of the interest rate on bank loans in the amount of up to 20 billion soums will be introduced to organize the activities of non-state general secondary educational organizations, exceeding the base rate, but not exceeding 1.5 times its size.

From the 2023/2024 academic year:

- vocational training courses will be introduced for students in the 10th grade of general secondary educational institutions;

- Presidential and specialized schools will be designated as “base schools” for general secondary educational institutions.
