The state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to China wraps up

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Full of fruitful meetings and agreements reached, the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the People’s Republic of China has ended.

On 24 January, in the city of Beijing, negotiations between the head of our state and the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping took place, as a result of which the leaders adopted a Joint Statement and a solid package of bilateral documents was signed.

As part of the first day of the stay program, meetings were also held with the Premier of the State Council of this country, Li Qiang, and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Zhao Leji. Negotiations were held with the heads of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, CNPC and CITIC corporations, and the Export-Import Bank of China.

The second day of the state visit was marked by business events in the innovation capital of China - the city of Shenzhen. The President of Uzbekistan discussed interregional cooperation with the Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong Province, Huang Kunming.

The leader of our country took part in the Uzbek-Chinese Investment Forum with the participation of more than 600 representatives of large businesses, and also held meetings with the heads of the Silk Road Fund, SANY and CSG.

Having visited the headquarters and technology center of BYD, the leader in the global electric vehicle market, the head of our state launched the joint production of hybrid and electric cars in Jizzakh region.

This concluded the program of events for the state visit to China.

Officials from Guangdong Province saw off the distinguished guest at the airport; the head of our state departed for Tashkent.
