Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Standard of Belarus ordered the withdrawal of pitted dried prunes from Uzbekistan from sale.

The organization’s message notes that unacceptable preservatives were found in the composition of the dried fruit of the "Ballonchik" brand.

In the production process of these products, the preservatives indicated on the label were used - potassium sorbate (E202) and benzoic acid (E210), the use of which is not allowed for dried fruits, the authority’s statement noted.
