Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 December, a regular meeting of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis was held. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Senate Tanzila Narbaeva.

A resolution was adopted to convene the forty-eighth plenary meeting of the Senate on 18 December 2023.

It was noted that at the plenary meeting, which will be held using a video conferencing system, a number of issues are planned to be discussed.

Among them are the laws “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2024”, “On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2023”, “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with adoption of the main directions of tax and budget policy for 2024.”

Senators at the plenary session will also consider the laws “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the provision of legal assistance at the expense of the state”, “On introducing amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On State Duty”, aimed at creating more favorable conditions for citizens when applying to administrative courts.”

In addition, the laws “On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Insolvency”, “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with improving the system of providing public services and protecting the rights and legitimate interests of business entities” and “On introducing amendments to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at improving conditions for expanding Internet coverage and communications on the territory of the republic” will be discussed.

In addition, as part of the agenda of the plenary meeting, it is planned to discuss laws on introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Senators will also consider questions about the implementation of tasks defined in the “road maps” for the socio-economic development of the territories of Namangan and Ferghana regions, information about the activities carried out by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan to protect atmospheric air and plant greenery in preventing climate change climate change, as well as approval of resolutions of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
