Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tanziila Narbaeva, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, met with a delegation led by Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Jarba, Chairman of the Saudi Arabia-Uzbekistan Friendship Group of the Consultative Council of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, it was noted that there has been a gradual expansion of relations between the two countries thanks to the political will and leadership of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Al-Jarba expressed high appreciation for efforts aimed at the development of Islamic culture and enlightenment in Uzbekistan under the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Special attention was given to the development of inter-parliamentary relations as a key aspect of further deepening cooperation.

The dialogue emphasized effective utilization of opportunities provided by parliamentary friendship groups and enriching cooperation with practical outcomes.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop and sign a corresponding document aimed at enhancing the level of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
