Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Senate of the Oliy Majlis elected Khaliillo Turakhujaev as chairman of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights of Uzbekistan.

At the 53rd plenary meeting of the Senate, the issue of electing the chairman of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan was considered.

According to Articles 95 and 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan as amended, the Chairman of the Committee is elected by the Senate on the proposal of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Khalillillo Turakhujaev was nominated as a candidate for the post of chairman of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights of Uzbekistan. His candidacy was approved by the senators.
