Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A 58-year-old K.R., who lives in the city of Tashkent, having submitted a statement, explained that he met an unknown person in the Telegram messenger, to whose bank card account he transferred money in the amount of 21.5 million soums to buy an online ticket, but the one who promised to buy a ticket simply deleted all correspondence. This was reported by the Cyber Security Center of the Operational Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a result of operational search activities carried out by the Cybersecurity units of the Operative Investigative Service, it became known that this crime was committed by 27-year-old M.S., previously convicted, living in Yangikurgan district of Namangan region.

As it became known, M.S. met in the Telegram messenger, and told him that he could get him an online ticket. So, having entered his trust, he was able to ensure that the victim transferred money in the amount of 21.5 million soums to his card account and, having deleted the correspondence, blacklisted him.

On this fact in relation to M.S. a criminal case has been initiated under part 3 of article 168 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, an investigation is underway.

According to the law, for the criminal acts of M.S. punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to five years.
